A Ninja Rant (Naruto Fans, I'm Sorry)

Naruto, Naruto, Naruto. I am so tired of Naruto. Gomen to any Naruto fans reading this; I'm sure Naruto has its perks (it must, or it wouldn't be so disgustingly popular), but I only read the first volume or so and was instantly bored of it.
The rest of the nation doesn't seem to be, though. I can scarcely walk into an anime store without seeing at least one entire section devoted to Naruto. People who have never heard of Rumiko Takahashi know what Naruto is. What I want to know is: why is it so wildly popular? If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be happy to hear it.
On another note, why do the manga come out in such rapid succession? Is Kishimoto-sensei simply an expert in rattling off manga volumes as fast as he can? Because it seems to me that Naruto is kind of a factory manga. Mass-produced manga. Manuafactured manga.
Please, if you have any light to shed, shed it now. I ponder.
Sorry about the rantesque nature of this post.

Blogger... Otaku....

This was my thought process: blogger... otaku... so... I had to write an anime blog. And this is it, the product of many years anime-watching and late nights blogging (although it happens to be three in the afternoon presently). Please comment if you think there's an anime I ought to talk about. Arigato gozaimasu for reading (if you are)!
